Achieve Sustainable Funding for Your Library
Steve Bolton
Libraries are the masters of "making-do", and while this is commendable (up to point) it has often left us with a hand-to-mouth existence. This has led to inadequate salaries, benefits and hours, not enough money for collections, and the desperate search for funds to maintain buildings. If you believe that your library is an essential community service, join us and discover how you can improve funding for your library!
- What are the "pro and cons" of forming a library district? Are there different types of library districts? What is the process?
- Can my library get on the municipal ballot as a referendum item?
- How do I get my library on the school ballot? My library is on the school ballot, now what?
