
The Outreach Services of the North Country Library System provide library materials which are sent directly by mail, free of charge, to residents within the System area who need specialized materials, or who are unable to visit their local public library.
Services to special targeted groups are provided directly by NCLS and/or the services of the local public libraries. NCLS works in partnership with the member libraries to help everyone enjoy the benefits of reading.
Library materials available for loan to patrons with special needs include: large print books, books on audiocassette and on CD, DVDs, and other specialized materials.
Persons who are eligible for this service should meet one or more of the following requirements:
- elderly (62 and over)
- blind or visually impaired
- institutionalized
- physically disabled
- learning disabled
- geographically isolated
