NEWS 10/26/12: The Oswego County legislature has tentatively
allocated $55,000 for libraries in the 2013 budget.
Next meeting: Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Central Square Library, 7pm.
10/18/12: The Oswego County Library Council met at the Williamstown Library. The county funding request for $55,000 (flat funding) was sent in by Bev Ripka. A meeting of the directors will be held at the Pulaski Public Library on November 19th at 2pm to discuss uniformity of circulation policies.
5/4/2011: The Oswego County Library Council met at the Ainsworth Memorial Library in Sandy Creek. No formal decision regarding a request for funding from Oswego County was made. The next meeting will take place on October 5, 2011 at the Oswego Public Library at 7pm.
12/12/2010: Oswego County has approved a 2011 budget, which includes $55,000 for libraries--
the same amount that has been received since 2007.
The Oswego County Library Council meets twice a year in October and May at libraries throughout the county to discuss county-wide library concerns and county funding requests. The current chair of the committee is Bev Ripka, Director of the Williamstown Library, VP is Cindy Williams, Director of the Phoenix Public Library, and Secretary is Margaret Barber, President of the Ainsworth Memorial Library.
